Redlands Police arrested a suspect after residents interrupted a burglary in progress in their home late Monday night.

Police responded to a 911 call in the 12000 block of Hilltop Drive shortly before midnight Monday, Nov. 26. Residents at the home were awakened by noises and called police after seeing a flashlight beam. After calling police, the residents saw the burglar running out the back door.

Police searched the area with the assistance of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s helicopter and located a suspect hiding in the bushes near the victims’ residence. Robert Wayne Harris, 22, of Yucaipa was identified by the homeowners as the suspect seen running from the house. Harris was arrested for burglary and transported to West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga. His bail was set at $75,000.
