City Council seated for Redlands’ 125th Anniversary year
As one of its first orders of business, at the Dec. 4 City Council meeting the Redlands City Council will welcome a familiar face. Newly elected City Council Member Pat Gilbreath returns to the Council two years after her last term. Gilbreath had previously served 17 years on the Council.
Gilbreath, along with Pete Aguilar, who was reelected to a second full term on the City Council, City Clerk Sam Irwin, who was elected to his first full term following his appointment in 2009, and newly elected City Treasurer Robert Dawes, will each take the Oath of Office at the City Council meeting, which begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the City Council Chambers, 35 Cajon St.
As part of the City’s 125th Anniversary celebration, which kicked off Saturday, Dec. 1, with the Redlands Christmas Parade, local photographer Stephen Wormser created a portrait of the 125th Anniversary Year City Council, including Aguilar, Gilbreath, and Council Members Paul Foster, Jon Harrison and Bob Gardner. The portrait will hang in the Council Chambers during the anniversary year.

The Saturday Morning Certified Farmers’ Market began June 6, 2009, bringing local growers to the City parking lot south of Redlands Boulevard between Fifth and Sixth streets near Ed Hales Park. The market operates from 8 to 11 a.m. every Saturday, excluding holiday weekends.
