Redlands' Best

Redlands Police Officers will be taking several underprivileged children to Target to Shop with a Cop, thanks to a $1,000 grant from the Target Corporation and additional donations by several community groups.

In addition to the $1,000 Target Corporation grant to provide 10 children with a $100 holiday shopping spree, the Redlands Police Officers Association donated $200. The following groups and individuals also donated $100 each:

  • Redlands Baseball for Youth
  • Redlands Junior All American Football
  • Citizen Volunteer Patrol Officer Paul Cardoza
  • SMS Security Inc.
  • Professional Payroll Solutions, Grand Terrace
  • Quality Drywall, Highland

Recipients of the shopping spree were selected by the principals at various schools in Redlands, as well as by police officers and various community groups.

The shopping spree will take place at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, at the Target store at 27320 W. Lugonia Ave. in Redlands. Target will also provide breakfast snacks.

Any other groups or individuals wishing to donate toward a Christmas shopping spree for underprivileged children is asked to contact Lt. Travis Martinez by email at or call (909) 335-4744.
