City Council continues Coffee with the Council in 2013
Redlands City Council members will continue their Coffee with the Council community meetings with the first meeting of 2013 scheduled this Saturday, Jan. 19, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Olive Avenue Market with Mayor Pete Aguilar.
As part of the City’s continuing efforts to increase interaction with residents and promote transparency in City affairs, the City Council began a monthly “Coffee With the Council” in February 2011.
The informal meetings are held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on the third Saturday of each month, rotating among three local restaurants – Olive Avenue Market, 530 W. Olive Ave; Cuca’s Mexican Food, 1752 E. Lugonia Ave.; and Corner Bakery, 402 Orange St.
Council members rotate attendance, with no more than two members at each meeting.
Mayor Pete Aguilar suggested the meetings as a way for residents to ask questions or share concerns with Council members outside the formal setting of a City Council meeting.

The Saturday Morning Certified Farmers’ Market began June 6, 2009, bringing local growers to the City parking lot south of Redlands Boulevard between Fifth and Sixth streets near Ed Hales Park. The market operates from 8 to 11 a.m. every Saturday, excluding holiday weekends.

Established in 1988, Redlands Market Night has established itself as one of the most successful certified farmers markets in Southern California! Vendors vie to participate in the event that has attracted thousands of weekly visitors since its inception.
