Volunteers needed for Jumpin’ June’s Food Truck and Brewfest

The final event of the June is Jumpin’ downtown events will take place this Saturday, June 30, with the Food Truck and Brewfest and the City is seeking volunteers to help make this final event a rousing success.

The Food Truck and Brewfest is the third event of the series that started with Surfin’ State Street on June 8 and last weekend’s Wine, Beer & Music event at Ed Hales Park. Thousands of visitors packed downtown over the two weekend events. The June is Jumpin’ series was designed to bring residents and visitors to experience all that historic downtown Redlands has to offer.

The Food Truck and Brewfest will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 30. Food trucks will roll into the municipal parking lot at the Redlands Mall. This is a great foodie event and beer garden, featuring Slummin’ Gourmet, WTF (Where’s the Fire) Pizza, Thai! On, ZZ Truck, Rolling Sushi Van, Tornado Potato, Suite 106 Cupcakery, Brats Berlin, Lee’s Philly, Ludo Truck, Waffles de Liege, Rebelbite, MeSoHungry Truck, Cousins Maine Lobster, Tropical Shave Ice, Baconmania, Hangar 24, Time in a Bottle and State Street Winery. Tickets are $5, available at the City of Redlands Development Services Office (210 E. Citrus Ave.) or at the event.  Attendees are also encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation to benefit Inland Harvest Food Bank.

Seventy-five volunteers are needed for shifts between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday to assist at the venue entrances and exits with such tasks as setting up and dismantling fencing, tables and canopies, ticket sales and redemption, monitoring exits and entrances to ensure alcohol does not leave the beer garden, and trash removal. In the beer garden volunteers are needed to check customer identifications and possibly assist with sales and serving beer.
