City Hall, administrative offices to close for holiday season

Most Redlands City Hall administrative offices will be closed beginning Wednesday, Dec. 20, through Tuesday, Jan. 2. Essential city services, including public safety, code enforcement, water and wastewater utility services and solid waste collection will be in full operation. Police and Fire operations will be available as usual.

The city manager, assistant city managers, department directors, city attorney, public information officer and other executive staff will continue to monitor operations, provide appropriate staff direction and respond to emails and messages as necessary.

City offices, including City Hall, will close at the end of business Tuesday, Dec. 19, and reopen Wednesday, Jan. 3. The Redlands Community Center, Redlands Community Senior Center and Joslyn Senior Center will also be closed during that time. The pickle ball courts located at the Redlands Community Senior Center will remain open daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., including Christmas and New Year’s Day.

The A.K. Smiley Public Library will continue regular hours with the following exceptions: closed Dec. 24-26, and Dec. 31 to Jan. 1.

The Redlands Animal Shelter, Hillside Memorial Park cemetery, Redlands Airport, city parks and water and wastewater treatment facilities will remain open and in operation.

The Fire Department’s Community Risk Reduction Division will be available for emergency inspections Dec. 27-28. Please contact the Community Risk Reduction Division via email at fireprevention@cityofredlands.org. All other routine inspection requests will be scheduled in the order they are received beginning Jan. 3.

For after-hours emergency water and/or wastewater service, please contact the Redlands Police Department at (909) 798-7681. To report missed solid waste collection service or for a solid waste related question, please call (909) 798-7529.  Messages will be retrieved daily by 10 a.m.

For any matters pertaining to Redlands Municipal Airport airfield lighting, signage or conditions or issues with the airport vehicle gates, please contact the airport supervisor at (909) 557-8520 or the Facilities and Community Services Department at (909) 798-7655.

There will be no solid waste (trash, green waste or recycling) collection on Monday, Dec. 25, or Monday, Jan. 1. Collections will be one day later for the rest of the week.

Utility bills can be paid using one of the following payment methods:

  • Use the 24/7 kiosk located between Customer Service, suite 15A and Revenue Office, suite 15B 
  • Mail payments to PO Box 6903, Redlands CA 92375;
  • Make an online payment through your bank (please allow adequate time for payment to arrive by the due date); or
  • Make an online payment through InvoiceCloud by calling 1-855-718-1514 or visit www.redlandscustomerservice.org and click on “Pay Online as Guest.” InvoiceCloud charges a $4.50 service fee per $500 transaction for credit card, ATM/debit payments and $3.95 service fee for ACH/EFT transactions from your checking/savings accounts up to $125,000.
  • Deposit payment in night drop box located next to Revenue door, suite 15B

Inspections for encroachment permits issued by the Development Services Department will be available Dec. 19-22 and Dec. 27-29.  Non-emergency inspections will not be provided Dec. 23-26 and Dec. 31-Jan. 2.
