City of Redlands to host Redlands Kids Care Poster Contest
The City of Redlands is pleased to offer the Kids Care Poster Contest for Redlands school and pre-school students of all ages. Have fun and help our community stay safe by entering the contest now through June 19. This contest is co-sponsored by the Redlands Chamber of Commerce, Citrograph Printing Co. and the Rochford Foundation.
Posters must promote all three elements of public safety recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) during the coronavirus pandemic: (1) Wash hands, (2) wear a face mask and (3) practice social distancing (stay six feet apart). Designs may include drawing, painting, graphic art and words and can be either on regular 8 ½-inch by 11-inch paper or submitted digitally.
Grand prize winners will be chosen in each of three categories: Littles – ages 6 and under, Middles – 7 to 12 years, and teens 13 to 18 years old. Winners will have their poster displayed all around town, receive a keepsake framed print, toys, books, movies and pizza gift cards donated by local businesses. Every child who enters gets a cute, kid-size washable face mask.
Deadline for entries is June 19 and must include name, age, school (must live within RUSD boundaries), contact email or phone number and a mailing address. Drop off paper entries weekdays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at boxes outside Redlands Community Center (111 W. Lugonia Ave.), Redlands City Hall One-Stop Window (35 Cajon St.) or at Citrograph Printing Co. (113 E. State St.).
