Mayor Paul Foster has ordered flags at all municipal buildings and facilities throughout the City of Redlands be lowered to half-staff beginning Oct. 7 until sundown on Oct. 12 in honor of Council Member Gilbreath, who passed away Tuesday, Oct. 3.

Gilbreath represented the City to many regional boards and organizations. Most recently she served as the City’s representative to Omnitrans, where she served as vice chair.

Speakers at Thursday’s memorial service will include the Rev. Lowell Linden, retired pastor of the First Congregational Church; current pastor the Rev. Steven Davis, Larry Burgess and Mayor Foster. The service will be followed by a reception at the church and a private graveside service.

The family has requested, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the First Congregational Church.
