Background / Employment
Born in Rockford, Illinois, Marc moved to Redlands in 1979. He is a graduate of Redlands High School. Marc ultimately received his BA in management from Saint Mary’s College of Moraga and a MA in Security Studies (Homeland Security) from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey.
Marc spent 27 years with the California Highway Patrol, rising to the rank of Assistant Chief. He also served at the Department of Food and Agriculture as an Assistant Chief. Marc’s final law enforcement assignment was as the chief law enforcement of the California Horse Racing Board. He retired from state service at the end of 2024, after nearly 32 years of dedicated service.

Marc is married to Lisa and they have three grown children.
Marc enjoys farming his citrus grove. His other
hobbies include cycling, golf, snow skiing, travel, and watching
college athletics.
