Young at Heart Strength Training: A Free Fall Prevention Fitness Program for Older Adults

Young at Heart focuses on the full body and works on strength, balance, and flexibility. The goal of the program is to keep participants functioning to help reduce the risk of falling by exercising with resistance tubes. This class has 34 sessions which includes a pre- and post-assessment days.

Come Join the Fun!

  • Class meets for 1 hour twice a week
  • Exercises can be done sitting or standing
  • Classes are at no cost, all equipment provided
  • Bring a water bottle and a towel
  • Wear loose and comfortable clothing & closed toed tennis shoes
  • Must register to save a spot! space is limited!

Attendance policy: Participants will be dropped from the program after 2 unexcused absences.

This class is offered through Independence at Home, a community service organization funded by Scan Health Plan.
