Fire Programs & History
The City of Redlands Fire Department Explorer Post was established in 2000. Fire Explorers offers youths between 15 and 21 years of age the opportunity to learn about the fire service. The Explorers meet the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
The Redlands Fire Department is seeking volunteers to assist the department as part of the Volunteer Inspector Program.
The goal of the Fire Training Division is to establish and maintain an acceptable fire control, emergency medical, chemical emergency and specialized team capability through the professional development of the Department’s personnel resources. The responsibilities of the Fire Training Division include:
“Redlands Hose Company No. 1 was organized last Saturday evening, the April 27th, 1888, with Ralph Levy as Foreman.” It was determined that the original number of firefighters should not exceed 25!
